Freewheeling are a group of seven textile artists based in Central Scotland, working in the medium of quilting. They are all enthusiastic about contemporary artwork, especially as it applies to quilting, and are keen to extend the appreciation of modern art quilting in the eyes and minds of the general public in the hope that textile art will gradually come to be seen as a valid art form in the same company as painting and sculpture.

Members of Freewheeling are currently hard at work preparing for their new exhibition, ‘Making Tracks’ which will run form 6th to 11th May 2017 in the Dundas Gallery in Edinburgh. ¬†Full details can be found here.
